Committees & Volunteer Opportunities
We could use some help in managing your Homeowners Association either as a board member or one of the committees. If you are a retiree and wondering how you can serve or someone who would like to be involved in their community then there are many opportunities for you to be an active member of Arcadia Park Estates.
Below is a list of places where you can volunteer your time and serve your community. Please note, you do not need to be a homeowner to serve on any of these committees.
Act as if what you do makes a difference. IT DOES!
Architectural Control Committee - This committee will review request from homeowners for home improvements in accordance with the requirements of the deed restrictions. Members recommend architectural standards for board adoption; establish procedures for submission, review, and approval/denial of architectural plans; and enforce architectural standards within the community. This group helps protects our investments info our property.
By-Laws Committee - Members review current documents to determine changes that may need to be made and make recommendations to the Board for adoption.
Communications Committee - Gathers information and/or write articles for the quarterly newsletter as well as communicating through social media and the Arcadia Park Estates website.
Community/Government Committee - Members liaison with City of Fort Worth officials to keep the Association informed about governmental and city issues surrounding the area. It also brings issues of importance that impact the neighborhood to the city's attention.
Landscape Committee - Members develop plans and make recommendations to the board for the maintenance and beautification of our entrance ways. There is currently an opening for Chairperson of this committee. If interested please contact the board of directors for information.
Social Committee (Activities & Events) - This committee organizes, promotes and produces a few events throughout the year. Members foster a sense of the community, establish a process for identifying the needs and desires of the community and develop programs to meet those needs. Examples of events planned for 2019 are an Easter Egg Hunt, Movie in the Park, Yard of the Quarter, National Night Out, and others). There is currently an opening for Chairperson of this committee. Hospitality Committee - Greet and welcome each new homeowner to our neighborhood.
Code Blue: Citizens on Patrol - Volunteers act as additional set of eyes and ears for our police department. Requires a background check and a brief training class at the Fort Worth Police Academy. Larry Y volunteers for Citizens on Patrol in our community . Thanks to Larry for his dedicated service!
